The name OCENOX combines Oceania and Nox (Latin for 'night'). It stands for the idea on which the company was founded: using the time difference between New Zealand and Europe not as an obstacle, but as an advantage. When it's evening in Europe, we keep working. When European teams start their morning, results are ready.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, OCENOX serves clients in the DACH region as well as the Asia-Pacific region. We combine the strengths of three regions: European domain expertise and industry knowledge, the innovation power and technological depth from the Asia-Pacific region, and the agile work culture of Oceania. Our teams are assembled specifically for each engagement — when topics require on-site presence in the DACH region, we are there: either personally or through experienced specialists from our network.

René Hoyer, the visionary behind OCENOX, is an experienced IT expert with over 23 years of experience in successfully delivering software projects.

After many years in Germany, René moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 2024, where he continues to lead OCENOX with a global perspective.

René's career spans leadership roles in both traditional and agile environments. Over the past 14 years, he has supported numerous clients in transforming into agile organizations by implementing methods such as Kanban, Scrum, SAFe® and OKRs.

With deep expertise in IT Service Management and project governance, René has successfully helped companies build, outsource, and efficiently manage IT projects.
